Hi Kevin, et al, Just wondering if it might not be more logical to have a differentiation in the Photoblog category -- to honour those who are true artists and who are excellent photographers, in one category, then those who just accumulate photos from wherever for the second category? I am thinking of the phenomenal work done in "Daily Dose of Imagery" and "Durham County" by true artists, and then the collecting done in the "Too Cute" photoblog. VASTLY different levels of talent, or areas of talent, and to not recognize that does the artists a disservice. Thanks for the consideration!

Hi
I noticed that in the race for best Science Blog, between Bad Astronomy Blog and Climate Audit, the Bad Astronomy Blog has always remained just in front of Climate Audit. To me it looks like someone is pumping up the Bad Astronomy vote just enough to stay ahead. I hope you will have a good look at the voting log, and rule out any cheaters. Thanks. Mark

I have a question, not sure if this is where it should go or not, but it can't hurt to put it here. Why do you have it set up so people can vote multiple times? Seems like one vote per person, instead of one vote per person every day, might be a better way to go. Not sure how feasible that is to do, but the results end up being determined by which blogs' fanbase votes the most number of times, instead of a reflection of how many different people actually vote for a blog.

I am a new member of the Weblog Awards, and know nothing about it. How does one nominate a blog, or get one's own blog nominated?

I question f**k You, Penguin being placed in the Pet Blog Category. There is no pet and the blog author seems to hate animals. As an animal lover I find this blog offensive and I certainly DO NOT consider it a pet blog.

I have a suggestion for next year. Rather than only letting people to vote once every 24 hours, make it every 22 or 23 hours. Sometimes the system is very overloaded so I have to do something else and then come back and vote, and that just move forward the 24 hour point. I started out voting around 8am, and now it is late in the afternoon when I can cast today's vote

So, I've run across an issue with the 2009 nomination process. Earlier, when the nomination threads went live, I had no trouble creating a MovableType account and posting comments. Now, even though I'm signed in, I get a comment error stating that no e-mail or name was entered, so the comment isn't valid. I'm not logged out at any point in the process, and it occurs even if I log out then log back in. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
