Kev, Thanks for including me in the list of diarists- I just found out about it today. The rose city journal link in the list of finalists doesn't go to my blog. It goes to a different site. The link should be: www.rosecityjournal.com/ I gather your group is pretty busy so don't know if you'll have time to fix, but wanted to let you know. thanks again for including me! Lisa Fixed!

While I am grateful and humbled by your nomination, I checked out the list of Finalists for "Best Individual Blogger" (Add to any feed reader Amanda Hill - Shamelessly Sassy, Vilmer - KICKIN' AND SCREAMIN', field negro, The Anchoress, Lindsay Beyerstein - Majikthise, Rachel Lucas, Melissa Clouthier, Jules Crittenden, Jo - Southern Sass on Crime, Driftglass) and noticed that, perhaps due to some bizarre clerical error, you misspelled my name an astonishing 10 times. It's Dan O'Brien.
I'm not mad, just please fix this, as I'm sure it's confusing to the voters.
Thanks! Love the site!

I'm only going to say this once: Give DOB his nomination or I'll signal the attack.
This IS your one and only warning.

Seriously, if DOB's work doesn't qualify as a blog, then that is not in fact, as one may claim, a fault in his work, but rather a fault in your definition of "blog", and this must be rectified. Not only must DOB get an award, but any obstacles in his path must be eliminated, with EXTREME prejudice. To be followed with pie and cake.

DOB is the cracked chocolate sausage monkey icing on the blog cake world (Baskin Robbins, get on this!)... enough said really. I mean, do I need to go on? Is there any sentence in the entire Bolivian-Austrian-Germo-Franko-Anglophone-ring-ring-ring-hello? Hello? Yes, yes... I DOknow who DAN O Brien IS. Yes, I most certainly would vote for his informative, intellectually valid, thingy-joke riddled, relevant and newsworthy. Yes, yeeees. What do you mean, who is this? You called me jackass-click-....Man, what a thingy. Vote Daniel O Brien.

... they censored me for writting... d**n... how do I write the glowing, four-lettered endearing nickname for private detectives, douchey guys named Richard, a giant notorious white wale and the revered male genitalia world over (all of which, I feel obligated to point out, are categories that Daniel O Brien IS qualified to enter, maybe you guys need a new award category? No serious, this could actually work. Just give him an award guys, serious. Any award will do. Any. Award.) D-I-C-K. let's see if this is changed to thingy as well. jerks.

I have read most of the so called blogs by your other finalists, and I have to say that not only does DOB (Dan O'Brien) fit the bill, he blows most of the other candidates out of the weblog water. If all I wanted was to hear about socially relevant topics with no personal touch or entertainment value, I'd just go to a news site! But what DOB provides is commentary on news, pop culture, and social issues. All with a good deal of outlandish humor. DOB for WEBLOGGER of the year!

Hey guys! I'm new here can someone give me a few tips? 1. How do you get nominated? 2. Is there some sort of prize involved? 3. Who gets to vote on the nominees? P.S. My blog: www.bykids4parents.blogspot.com I'm a 13-year-old blogger that gives parents insider info about what kids are doing and whether it is good for them.
